This statement is the latest in our evolving search to find the right words to explain our vision. But since our founding on September 11, 2001, our mission has been to remain on the cutting edge of reporting on trendsetting people, places and things!

We chose Alex Rodriguez, who had just signed the richest contract in baseball history, for our first cover. Statistics today show, he remains the best all-around player in the game and is on track to perhaps become the greatest of all-time. Trendsetter!
